 My Pom..In Heat....

we are trying to breed my 2 full blooded poms..he wants it..she don't ???..everytime he mounts her,she sits down..she is 1 year ol..he is 2 years old. would like to hear your opinions why she does this...this is her second time in heat...

Well, I don't know anything about breeding dogs, but I do know that one year seems awfully young to be trying to breed. My yorkie/longhaired chihuahua mix is a little over a year, and to me she's still a puppy. I think, if it were me, I'd wait until the female is 2 years old. One year just seems awfully early...

At one year, she's just barely out of puppyhood

well, like you i had thought that too,but her vet doc says,poms go into heat earlier then alot of other dogs, and she was actually ready..but she isn't acting like it..
